NEED TO INCREASE YOUR OUTPUT AND GET MORE R.O.I. OUT OF LIFE??

Let me know if this sounds familiar…

“I don’t have time to exercise”

“I’m too busy to prepare my own meals”

“I’ll start my program on Monday after this pitch is finished”

“If only this product launch was done - I’d have time to focus on me”

“My boss is overloading me and there are so many Zoom calls...:”

"These sales targets are brutal - I'm just exhausted all the time"

I’ve heard AND said all these hundreds of times….

If you’ve been using some variation of these in an effort to convince yourself you’re too busy to hit the gym or maintain a healthy diet…

I’ve been there too.

BUT

It's not the pressure of the job that's getting you down

It's not the stress of targets sapping your energy

It's not the long days and endless meetings...

It's your own health that is causing you to be performing at sub-par....

I’m not afraid to admit that even as a FITNESS COACH, I packed on 12+ kgs when I was (inefficiently) trying to train myself, working 12-14 hours a day, and wondering how, after 30+ years in gyms, I was still getting it so wrong....

I hated the way that I looked and felt.

I was chugging coffees all day just to stay awake,

Skipping social nights to “work on the business”,

Missing meals entirely or eating out for almost every other meal and barely getting 5 hours of sleep at night.

And deep down…

I was stressing out under the pressure and low image of myself.

After months of feeling completely overwhelmed, stressed out and exhausted, I finally realised that I was on the fast track to burnout.

And approaching the age of 50.....

Something had to change.

I hired a coach to help me with my training and nutrition, set some goals, and made the commitment to prioritise my health above everything else…

After just a few short months:

I started getting MORE DONE in LESS TIME and feeling 10x better doing it.

I felt confident in my own skin again,

I had the energy I needed to be more productive and get stuff done

And for once, I felt like I had things under control…

But the best part of all of this is that I finally realised that maintaining a healthy lifestyle wasn't going to prevent me from achieving anything else, having a social life or spending time building my own company..

In fact, it is the very reason why I am able to now do those things and more. I've managed to set up a new business, and start to live my life to the fullest.

And more importantly…

The same rings true for you.

Right now, you probably feel like the LAST THING you should be focusing on is hitting the gym or meal prepping on a Sunday afternoon.

Trust me - I hear you loud and clear.

But if you’re like I was…

  • Unhappy with what you see in the mirror

  • Working yourself to death throughout the week

  • Binge eating and drinking on the weekends in an attempt to have a 'social life' or 'relax'

  • Constantly feeling tired and stressed out

  • Sick of putting your health on the back burner

  • Making excuses about how you are too busy to get in shape

You can’t let this go on forever.

Deep down, you know you need to make a change if you want to be able to enjoy the life and success that you’re working so hard for.

Not to mention, as you get older, avoid serious health issues and the impact this kind of lifestyle will have on your productivity and personal relationships down the road.

Yes, the risks are very real.

It’s time for you to stop avoiding the inevitable change you have to make if you want to reach your full potential in business and in life.

And if you still don’t believe that those extra 10 kgs hanging over your belt buckle are holding you back…

Here are 5 Science-Backed Reasons Why You Can’t Afford To Stay Out of Shape:

1. People who are overweight are on average more than 20% LESS productive than people who maintain a healthy diet and regular exercise.

If you are already achieving great things in your career or business…

Imagine what you could do with a 20% INCREASE in your productivity.

Could you sign on 20% more new clients?

Would you be 20% more likely to get that big promotion?

The possibilities are endless - IF you stop taking your health for granted.

Stop leaving money on the table.

2. Statistically, people would rather do business with fitter people vs. people who are out of shape

As a coach, one of the #1 concerns I hear from both men and women is that they want to lose weight so they can feel more confident in meetings and in the workplace as a whole.

While I wholeheartedly believe that EVERYONE should be treated equally…

Studies do show us that companies opt for hiring or doing business with individuals who appear to have a well maintained physical appearance because it demonstrates an emphasis on self-care, discipline and the ability to take care of one’s self/other important duties.

Ethics aside, this is a scary reality of our workplace culture in today’s day and age.

How would you feel if you got passed up for a promotion because you were unfit?

What if you lost out on a business deal because you weren’t making your health a priority?

3. Eating processed food is proven to decrease energy levels and mental clarity

In any business, there is a constant need for optimization in order to continue growing and making a profit.

But how often do we look at, or invest in, our own health and wellbeing as a way to increase work output and thus, measurable results?

Not very often.

Most company's 'wellbeing policy' is no more than buying in greasy takeaway food for their employees or have kitchens laden with unhealthy snacks so their employees never have to leave the office, therefore overloading them with work until they feel as though the “only option” is to get fast food because they don’t have time for anything else.... late-night "pitch pizza" anyone??

Alternatively, they bring in ‘healthy’ snacks - muesli bars, protein crisps, smoothies, cooked breakfasts.... all overloaded with calories, excess processed carbs, sugar and fats that sit beside the untouched fresh fruit bowl....

But, fast food isn’t really saving anyone anytime or any money....

It’s costing you, and the company you work for both time AND money because you're physiologically working at a much lower capacity due to the way processed food and ingredients affect the brain - resulting in lower productivity and higher rates of illness, or worse - burnout.

What you eat directly affects the way that you feel.

When you eat a big greasy burrito or burger for lunch, a carb-laden sandwich, a salad dripping in oily dressings, you better believe that is the reason why you’re practically falling asleep at your desk at 3pm and can’t think straight.

Similarly, if you’re skipping meals all together then binging on a pub dinner after work with a keg or so of beer on the side….then, that’s obviously far from ideal too!

4. Regular exercise has tremendous benefits both physically and mentally (that you are currently missing out on)

Right now, you probably think that weight lifting and exercise is just for Instagram influencers, Personal Trainers or bodybuilders… or that it’s not “important” enough for you to make time for when you’re trying to build a successful career.

I totally get it. The thought of you doing anything like that, let alone LOOKING anything like that, seems a million miles away....

But there are COUNTLESS studies that show us otherwise and more specifically, a recent Harvard study that revealed the significant mental benefits of regular exercise.

  • Improved concentration

  • Sharper memory

  • Faster learning

  • Prolonged mental stamina

  • Enhanced creativity

  • Lower stress

The list goes on…

And this doesn’t even take into account the way that you will feel when you do finally look in the mirror and LOVE what you see.

There is simply no denying the fact that you can’t afford NOT to exercise if you want to operate at peak performance in the workplace.

5. When you look good, you feel good and you work harder

If you’ve been trying to get in shape, lose weight or just ‘get fitter’ for a while now but continue to fall off the bandwagon time after time…

Chances are you aren’t super happy with where you’re at right now.

And whether you realize it or not, the fact that you are not happy with what you see in the mirror has a negative impact on your career, relationships and pretty much every other aspect of your life.

While others may see you as “successful”...

You still feel like something is missing.

The bottom line here is:

When you don’t look and feel your best - you don’t perform at your best.

Not in business.

Not in your relationships.

Not in anything.

And it goes without saying that people who are happy...

Are also more productive and achieve more simply because they are not focused on their shortcomings.

It’s time for you to do the same.

Despite what you’ve heard in the past, making a healthy lifestyle change on a hectic schedule isn’t rocket surgery.

You don’t need to spend hours in the gym.

You don’t need to meal prep 147 meals every Sunday.

You don’t need to overly restrict yourself or give up your social life.

All YOU need to do is find a plan that you actually enjoy following and stick to it.

Because the truth is, the problems you’re facing right now…

  • Decreased productivity

  • Low energy levels

  • Declining self-confidence

  • Excessive weight gain

Aren’t going to get better on their own.

They are only going to continue to get worse until you decide to take action.

And the time to act is NOW.

Time to invest in your own growth, re-brand your health, launch the updated version of you and get the best ROI out of your life….

You got this and I believe in you.
